I find it nihilistically hilarious that people market their opinion as infallible fact.
Today I feel so disenfranchised with the burden of existence itself such that I cannot take anything seriously.
Everyone has their agenda, their conspiracy, their movement, their complete unabashed love for telling everyone they don't (and do) know that every aspect of their life is wrong, harmful to others and the planet, and that the government is trying to control the universe with chemtrails, secret societies and taxation.
(That's placing a mountain of credit on an entity that cannot seem to wrap their collective minds around healthcare... 'nother discussion.)
Social media has done wonders for the cause of mass confusion.
Someone (likely a "friend" you haven't seen in years) posts a link to a story (from a shady website you've neverheardof.cz) stating how their neighbor's use of fluoridated toothpaste causes alzheimers in pet chinchillas in the Andes...
Then we shortly see "experts" across your screen talking about their self made PHd course in Chemical Biology shares their input which likely involves making up 67% of their statistics 97% of the time.
Entire continents then outlaw the act of brushing teeth!
Then others take those thoughts as fact, spread this "information" and the cycle continues.
(I'm pretty sure this cycle is the reason for President Camacho's eventual election 490 years from now and the conversion to the flora hydration substance of choice: Brawndo.)
Meanwhile anyone who cares to pipe in with some semblance of reserved rationality is smeared as an uneducated bigot of a blowhard who harbors colonialist ideals while blowing up entire third world nations with a few short twitter keystrokes.
Then the arguments start. Someone's feelings being debated against someone else's personal code of trolling.
No progress is made, people only become aggravated before they realize they've wasted what would have been a good night's sleep only in a futile attempt to "win" an argument over trivial matters such as the ethical ramifications or administering coffee enemas to lethargic household felines (or show dogs, you pick.)
This is why I don't take anything seriously. (Except that FB stock... keep on climbing baby! The more people spread their delirium and drivel across that beautiful advertising platform, the more money I make.)
Social media has the tendency to be the Jerry Springer Show of the internet.
Anything goes. ANYTHING. (Just ask the USMC.)
So please get triggered on this final thought:
Don't be the person who lives thinking:
"My opinion is gospel and all others are the seed of satan set to consume physical existence itself."
(Would that be such a horrible thing really? Not much to miss if there is literally no one left to enjoy eternal nothingness.)
